Our goal is to provide the safest environment for our clients and staff.   We are strictly following the guidelines and recommendations of the CDC and New York State while implementing industry best practices.  Please find all of the information you need listed below in regards to the re-opening of our salon during this pandemic.

Appointment

Disposable face masks work best, especially if you are getting your hair colored. If you do not have a disposable mask then try to find one that is dark colored if you are receiving color services. Also, be sure your mask loops around the ears and not the back of you head.

  • New Waiver Process

    September 18, 2020

    We want to thank our amazing clients for making our return to the salon easy and safe for everyone.  We have made some recent changes to our policies in order to simplify our client waiver process.  Please see the updated changes below:

     

    Returning clients who have been in the salon since our re-opening in May that already have a waiver on file with us: 

    You will no longer need to fill out and email back the Covid-19 Client Waiver at each appointment.  Instead you will use our new Covid-19 Online Wellness Check and answer the wellness questions the morning of your appointment. There is no need to email anything back to us.  The online form will send us your response! 

     

    New clients or returning clients who have not had an appointment since we re-opened in May and DO NOT have a waiver on file with us:

    You will be required to fill out the Covid-19 Client Waiver.  This must be filled out within a 24 hour window of your appointment. We can not provide services to anyone who has not completed the waiver.  Once you sign the waiver it should be returned to sgsscovid19@gmail.com.  A copy of our waiver will always be available on our website as well.

    Welcome Back Melissa & Kenzie!!

    Governor Cuomo announced today that personal care providers can resume work on Friday, June 12th.  With this news Melissa and Kenzie will resume providing nail and spa services to our clients.  We ask that you remain patient while both Melissa and Kenzie work to reschedule their clients who were previously booked from March - June.  In order to meet capacity guidelines, everyone in the salon is working limited hours and days during this soft opening and they are doing their best to get to all their clients.  Once they have rebooked all their previous clients they will open their online booking.  Please read our full letter that went out to our clients here

    May 30, 2020

    Safe. Smart. But still Glamorous.

    The time is finally here!  We are now open by appointment to our clients for limited salon services beginning Tuesday, June 2nd!!   In order to keep our clients and Glam team safe we will be implementing the NYS and CDC guidelines as well as adopting best industry practices.  We know these changes can be overwhelming but please know they are necessary and temporary.  Please read our letter to our clients out-lining what to expect when returning to the salon during phase one of our re-opening here.

    Salons have officially been given permission to open!! Unfortunately, we have just received the new guidelines a few hours ago and although we have been planning for our re-opening for quite some time, we need to carefully review the mandates to make sure our current plan covers everything required. For everyone's health and safety it is crucial that we make sure that all policies, procedures and guidelines are in place and that we have all necessary PPE available before opening. We will announce an opening date within the next few days and will start scheduling appointments in the order they were cancelled due to the pandemic. Once we have re-booked clients that were previously scheduled we will open our books for new appointments. With the new guidelines, we will not be able to schedule as many appointments a day or have as many clients and stylist in the salon. We will be communicating shortly our new schedules, approved services, client and salon guidelines, as well as any other important information both via email, online, and through social media.

     

    Please be patient and we will get everyone in as quickly as possible, but we need to do it safely. Thank you all for your patience, loyalty, and understanding.

  • Phase 2

    May 19, 2020

    By now you have most likely heard that Governor Andrew Cuomo has stated salons can open as early as Phase 2 of our regional re-opening plan. Our Glam Team has been preparing for re-opening and we are proud of the measures we will be taking to keep our clients safe. Our entire team has been certified by Barbicide and additional COVID-19 sanitation courses and we have also been taking additional online trainings while at home to keep up on new trends and techniques.

     

    There is currently no concrete date for a Phase 2 opening. We know you are just as eager to see us as we are to see you but we ask that you are patient with each of our stylists as we work through rescheduling clients. Once we have a definite date for Phase 2 opening, given to us by our local officials, we will begin the process of reaching out to clients who were on our books from March-May and then open our schedules to new appointments.

     

    Prior to opening we will communicate all of our new procedures and social distancing guidelines via email and social media. Please be on the lookout for that communication. It is extremely important that everyone complies with regulations in order to have the best possible opening.

     

    In the meantime please remember that our online store is open for curbside pickup. We have several options for gray coverage including our root touchup powder, KMS sprays, and color conditioners. If you have any questions on products please reach out to your stylist.

    As we continue to learn more about COVID-19, caused by the novel coronavirus, the safety of our clients is our first priority. As many of you have read, it is being mandated that all New York State personal care services temporarily shut their doors until further notice. Please be patient with your stylists as they attempt to reschedule appointments.

     

    In the meantime, if you would like to support your stylist during these hard times you may purchase an e-gift card online to use later. Many of our stylists are offering their customers perks when doing this. You may purchase products online and we will schedule a curbside pick up with you.

     

    Our Glam Team will be behind the scenes thinking of new ways to accommodate and provide for our clients' needs when our doors re-open. We are with you. We are prepared to heal.
